Applications from Indian citizens are invited for filling up the following posts under ICAR funded Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of the Viswavidyalaya. The posts are purely temporary and will continue as long as the KVKs will be funded by ICAR.

 (A) Programme Coordinator (Temporary)

Essential Qualification (E.Q.) :~ (1) Ph.D in any branch of Agriculture or Allied Sciences (2) Five years' experience in teaching/research/extension education in the scale of pay of Rs. 8,000-13,500/- or in equivalent position.

Desirable Qualification (D.Q.) :~ (1) Experience of working in the KVK (2) Knowledge of agricultural situation and problem of the farmers of the state.

 (B) Subject Matter Specialists (Temporary)

(a)	Horticulture	–	1st or high 2nd class M.Sc. (Hort.)/M.Sc. (Ag.) in Horticulture
(b)	Plant Protection	–	1st or high 2nd class M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agril. Entomology/Plant Pathology/Plant Protection
(c)	Soil Science	–	1st or high 2nd class M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science
(d)	Animal Science	–	1st or high 2nd class MV.Sc.
(e)	Home Science	–	1st or high 2nd class Master's Degree in Home Science
	Desirable Qualification (D.Q.) for the above posts of category (B) :~ (1) Doctoral degree in the subject; (2) 2 years experience in KVK or Extension/ Research Organization

 (C) Office Superintendent-cum-Accountant (Temporary)

Essential Qualification (E.Q.) :~ (1) B.Com./ B.Sc./ B.A./ Bachelor in Business Management. (2) Five years' experience of working as Junior Accountant or Senior Clerk with Financial or Account matters in a Govt., Semi Govt., Organization.

(D)1. Programme Assistant (Computer) (Temporary)

Essential Qualification (E.Q.) :~ (1) B.Sc. (Computer Application)/ Bachelor in Computer Application/ PG diploma in computer Application.

Desirable Qualification (D.Q.) :~ (1) Two years' experience in handling of data in computer.

       Relaxation of age and qualification for SC/ST candidates shall be followed in accordance with  Government Rules.

       Reservation for SC/ST, OBC and Physically Challenged (PC) candidates shall be maintained as per Govt. Rules. The University reserves the right to alter/modify any condition at any stage.  Employed persons should apply through proper channel. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview and/or aptitude test as to be held for the purpose.

       Interested candidates are to apply in the prescribed format (appended below) accompanied with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 300/-, 200/- & 150/- for (A), (B), (C) & (D)  respectively drawn in favour of "Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya" payable at Cooch Behar, West Bengal.  Fees will be ¼^th  for SC/ST candidates.
