    Applications fare invited from Indian citizens for filling up the following posts in the prescribed scales of pay plus admissible allowances as per University norms :-

1.

Registrar (Permanent post-1)

Essential Qualification (E.Q.) :~ (i) Uniformly good academic record with at least Master’s Degree or equivalent. (ii) At least 10 years' service experience in a University or in an institute of higher learning of which five years must be in high level administration in a University or in an institute of Post-graduate studies. Desirable Qualification (D.Q.) :~ (i) A Doctoral Degree with high level administrative experience in a Government or Quasi-Government Organization or a good background in administration and management in senior position. Provided that in absence of suitable candidates having requisite administrative experience if the candidate has been either a Professor/Principal for at least two years or a Reader for at least five years, the essential qualification pertaining to administrative experience for the post may be relaxed and for candidates having requisite administrative experience, the essential qualifications may be relaxed on the recommendation of the selection committee but the candidates must have at least the academic qualification as required for teachers of colleges. Provided that a higher initial pay may be granted as per qualification, experience and present emoluments.

Scale of Pay : Rs.16,000-450-20,900-500-22,400/- Age : Not less than 40 years. However, age may be relaxed in case of exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates.

Assistant Comptroller (Permanent post-1)

Essential Qualification (E.Q.) :~ (i) Hons. Graduate in Commerce with good academic record. (ii) Three years' working experience in supervision, control, planning and management of audit and accounts, preparation of budget in Govt. / Quasi Govt. / University / Commercial establishment.

Scale of Pay : Rs. 8,000 - 275 - 13,500/- Age : Not less than 30 years. However, age may be relaxed in case of exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates.

Assistant Auditor (Lien vacancy-1)

Essential Qualification (E.Q.) :~ (i) Hons. Graduate in Commerce with good academic record. (ii) Three years' working experience in supervision, control, planning and management of audit and accounts, preparation of budget in Govt. / Quasi Govt. / University / Commercial establishment. Desirable Qualification (D.Q.) :~ (i) Professional qualification in cost / chartered accountancy (ii) Experience in audit-accounts service of Central / State Government Units / Govt. undertaking / University.

Scale of Pay : Rs. 8,000 - 275 - 13,500/- Age : Not less than 30 years. However, age may be relaxed in case of exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates.

     The University reserves the right not to fill up the posts. Employed person should apply through proper channel. No. T.A & D.A shall be admissible for appearing in interview. On the basis of records/testimonials, selection may be done in absentia in case of internal candidate, if the candidate is abroad/unable to appear before selection committee and approach is made to the University in that regard.

     Interested candidates are to apply in the prescribed form obtainable from the office of the Registrar (Recruitment Section) either personally on any working day between 12-16 hours or by sending a self addressed stamped (of Rs. 5/-) envelop (20 cm x 11 cm.) and on payment of Rs. 400/- & Rs. 300/- for posts at Sl. No. 1 and 2 & 3 respectively as non-refundable application fee in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya” payable at Cooch Behar, West Bengal.     The filled in application forms shall have to reach the Registrar’s office (Recruitment Section) by 8.8.05. However, in case of candidate from abroad and outside state the last date is 15.8.05.

     Mere possession of the minimum qualifications shall not make an applicant entitled to be called for interview. Application incomplete in any respect will be rejected.
